How do YOU view Poverty? Pastor Rob Bell says, "There's a popular bumper sticker that reads "God Bless America," but hasn't America already been blessed? It's easy for us to fall into a mindset of viewing "our" world as "the" world, because it's all we generally see. But how does what we have compare to what most people in the world have? Maybe what we have is enough; maybe it's more than enough. Act Now!

Even though it may be months away, Thanksgiving is always right around the corner! We support the homeless in Bethesda by providing backpacks for those who are part of the lunch program sponsored by Bethesda Cares and hosted by CELC. We will stuff the backpacks after the meal on Thanksgiving Eve, and will distribute them on Thanksgiving Day to the Bethesda Cares Thanksgiving Dinner attendees at CELC.
