Young Adults
A Ministry for those in their 20s and 30s, married or single.
"Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith...Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another; and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:22-25
We are:
- a community of men and women in our 20s and 30s interested in growing in our faith through study, action, and fellowship.
- a new and growing community at CELC welcome to new ideas and activities that will build our community and strengthen our relationships with Jesus.
We seek God...
...through Bible study and discussion.
"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." - Romans 15:4
Our recent studies and discussions centered on Rob Bell's DVD Series.
...through prayer.
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." - Ephesians 6:18
We serve others...
"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." - John 13:14-15
through Martha's Table and other similar ministries.
through service opportunities in the Montgomery County area.
through participation in activities of the wider CELC community.
We enjoy fellowship...
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up." - 1 Thessalonians 5:11
sharing meals.
traveling together for camping and whitewater rafting.
participating in Bible Studies, activities and events together.
We meet...
informally Sundays for lunch at 12:30.
formally once a month for a service activity, a meal, or a fun adventure; and for Bible study, faith-building discussion, and prayer.
